Peakaboo is actively developed, with one to two published releases per year. It is available for a number of Operating Systems. Choose yours from the options below.
System Requirements
Recommended
In order for Peakaboo to run well, it should be run on computers which meet the following criteria:
- 2 gigabytes of memory
- 1280x800 screen resolution
- 5 gigabyte of free disk space (for temporary work files)
Minimum Requirements
Memory space is the only real limiting factor for Peakaboo. It needs to have at least 512 megabytes (0.5 gigabytes) allocated to its JVM in order to work well with larger data sets. Peakaboo can run just about anywhere, though. Here's a screenshot of Peakaboo 5 running on a Raspberry Pi 2!
Plugins
Plugins are software components which are used by Peakaboo to extend Peakaboo’s functionality. Plugins can add new filters or new file format support to Peakaboo. There are a number of plugins available along with Peakaboo, and anyone with some experience in Java programming can also make their own. Official plugins can be accessed from Peakaboo's plugins screen.
